June is an accomplished social researcher and ethnographer with over eight years’ experience in North America, the UK, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. She has designed and managed interdisciplinary research and evaluation on topics related to sustainable and equitable development, human rights, social impacts of political conflict, arts-based educational interventions, agri-food systems and food justice, gender equity, and child nutrition programming. Prior to joining Justice Studio, she worked in academic and policy research in the south-eastern US and in Hungary, where she contributed to rural development policy reform at a Budapest-based NGO. She completed a PhD in anthropology at UGA in 2019 as a Fulbright recipient and CES-Mellon Fellow, specialising in collaborative, mixed methods and experimental approaches. She also holds an MS in crop and soil sciences from UGA and an MA in sociology and social anthropology from CEU (Budapest).
